CPA Exam

CPA Exam is probably the most difficult exam I ever took. It covers 6 courses, Accounting, Economic Laws, Financial Cost Management, Corporate Strategy and Risk Management, Auditing, and Tax Laws. Contrary to TOEFL, GRE, and GMAT, which are expensive to take but easy to pass, CPA exam is cheap to register but difficult to pass. I see CPA exam a good supplement to my MBA study and a good preparation to start my own business, so I registered 3 courses to take.

You never know how difficult CPA exam is until you really dig into it and start to prepare for it. The learning curve for a newbie like me is so steep that I really doubt if I can overcome it. There is too much knowledge cramming for me every day.

This summer, it is hotter than expected in Beijing. Sitting long hours before computer to listening to the online CPA courses is a torture for me. 3 courses are really too many for me to handle. Passing all 3 courses this time is a mission impossible to my self-awareness. My bottom line is to make the most use of my investments, time and money, on CPA exam preparation to learn something and hopefully to pass one of the 3 courses for this time. I aim to make progress daily.

It is more than an intellectual challenge on my persistence, determination, time management skills. Add oil! Don’t give up.
